COMMON MANAGEMENT ADMISSIONS TEST (CMAT) 2016 -17

CMAT is a computer-based test (CBT) which will be conducted once a year from 2016-17.

In CBT, a candidate will read the questions on a computer terminal and choose an answer by clicking on the correct option.

There are four sections in the test. The sections are
a) Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
b) Logical Reasoning
c) Language Comprehension and
d) General Awareness.
There are 25 questions in each section.

The duration of test is 180 minutes, with no break during this time window.

So, students could move back and forth between sections.

This means that the sections are not timed individually, and is on the students to manage timing between the sections, while ensuring that they show their competency in all the sections.

Test Pattern:

There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.

XLRI ADMISSION TEST (XAT)

XAT 2016 exam pattern is changed.

The Total no of question is 78 instead of 84

and The Total time is 170 minutes instead of 140 minutes

It will have four sections (i) Quantitative Ability  (ii) English Language & Logical Reasoning  (iii) Decision Making (iv) GK and Essay. The marks of General Knowledge will not be used for determining the percentile and cut off at first stage of selection. However it is used by XLRI and some other Associate Member Institutes at the time of final selection
