1.The government of Jammu and Kashmir has made amendments to the Employees Provident Fund Scheme, 1961 by declaring the enhancement of ceiling limit of Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 for the subscriptions of provident fund by the subscribers.
2.The raised limit would benefit lakhs of subscribers in the state.
WIPRO NAMES ABID ALI NEEMUCHWALA AS CEO
1.India’s third largest IT exporter Wipro Limited on Monday announced the appointment of Abid Ali Z. Neemuchwala as the Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of the company.
2.The company also appointed the current CEO T.K. Kurien as the Executive Vice Chairman. Both the appointments will be effective from February 1, 2016
3.T.K. Kurien, will continue to report to Azim Premji and will remain a Member of the Board until March 31, 2017
4.Wipro had appointed former TCS BPO CEO Abid Ali Neemuchwala as the group president and chief operating officer (COO) of the company effective April 1, 2015.
BUS SERVICE BETWEEN INDIA, NEPAL RESUMES AFTER 27 YRS
1.A friendship bus service between India and Nepal via Champawat resumed today after a gap of 27 years, much to the delight of people on both sides of the border who have family and trade ties with each other.
2.The bus which runs between Kanchanpur in Nepal close to the Banbasa border in Champawat district and Anand Vihar, Delhi, has been regularised from today.
3.The resumption of the service between the two countries after its prolonged suspension had been welcomed by people as nearly 10,000 Nepalese travel in these buses on a daily basis from Kanchanpur district, Dandel Dhura, Voti, Sapen, Acham, Kalali, Jagbuddha and Siddhartha Nagar areas in Nepal.

Pranav Dhanawade, a Class 10 student from the KC Gandhi School, Kalyan amassed a record-breaking, unbeaten 652 runs in an inter-school game on Tuesday.

SAUDI ARABIA’S ALLIES BAHRAIN, SUDAN AND UAE ACT AGAINST IRAN
1.A number of Saudi Arabia’s allies have joined diplomatic action against Iran after the Saudi embassy in Tehran was attacked amid a row over the execution of a Shia Muslim cleric.
