1.Delhi got its first Aam Aadmi Netra clinic at Paschim Vihar on Saturday. These mobile clinics, which are placed at various locations across the city, aim to reach every person who needs eye care.
2.The clinics come immediately after the AAP’s Mohalla clinics were set up for the general public.
3.The Delhi government has made a budgetary provision for 500 Mohalla clinics, with the Cabinet deciding to allocate Rs. 209 crore to set up 500 more such clinics.

1.Though adventure sports enthusiasts were the first to come to the district some four years ago, it did not catch the imagination of many.
2.The shooting of the magnum opus Rudrama Devi at the iconic Kuntala waterfall helped attract the attention of many. Now the district even boasts of the Youth Hostels’ Association (YHA) of India and regular visits by those associated with travel and tourism.
ALATHUR TO BECOME FIRST ORGANIC BLOCK PANCHAYAT
1.Alathur will soon become the first block panchayat in Kerala to achieve self-sufficiency in production and consumption of organically grown vegetables.
2.By the end of the next economic year, the block will produce all fruits and vegetables for its residents based on the requirement. A farmers’ market without the involvement of middlemen will be set up at Vadakkanchery.
3.The project is being implemented with the help of Hill Area Development Authority, Integrated Watershed Development Programme and Swachh Bharat Mission.
HIMACHAL RANKED SECOND IN E-GOVERNANCE IN THE COUNTRY
1.Himachal Pradesh has been ranked second among all states and Union territories across the country for its contribution in promoting e-governance. The state won the award during the Digital India Week held in July this year.

CRDA RELEASES MASTER PLAN DRAFT NOTIFICATION FOR ANDHRA PRADESH CAPITAL
1.The capital region is of 8,603.32 sq kms which consists of 54 revenue mandals (tehsils) in both Guntur and Krishna districts and the capital city has only 217 sq kms.
2.CRDA has made some modifications to meet the local conditions, in the master plan provided by the Singapore government in July to the AP government.
3.The capital city has been divided into nine small areas as dedicated to government, financial, tourist, knowledge, health, electronics, media, justice and sports activities.
SHIVA KESHAVAN WINS SILVER
1.Shiva Keshavan claimed a silver in the 18th edition of the Asian luge championship here on Sunday.
2.The race consisted of two heats closely contested by the Asian athletes. Though in the first heat Shiva was a mere 2/10th of a second behind, minor technical snags cost him the gold medal in the second heat. The first place went to Japan’s Hidenari Kanayama, and third to Korea’s Dong Hyeon Kim.
MODI WINDS UP MANN KI BAAT FOR 2015 WITH ‘START UP INDIA’ PLAN
1.On Sunday morning, Mr. Modi announced Jan. 16 as the date for the launch of his programme to encourage new business, ‘Start Up India, Stand Up India.
2.More than 3,000 suggestions, many of them after Mr. Modi’s surprise visit to Lahore on Christmas day, were received by the portal. Instead, Mr. Modi decided to frame a new nomenclature to refer to the differently abled people and lauded a mason in Madhya Pradesh for donating free labour for building more than 100 toilets in his district.
SWEDEN’S REMARKABLE TILT TOWARDS A CASHLESS FUTURE
1.Bills and coins now represent just 2 per cent of Sweden’s economy, compared with 7.7 per cent in the United States and 10 per cent in the euro area. This year, only a fifth of all consumer payments in Sweden have been made in cash, compared with an average of 75 per cent in the rest of the world, according to Euromonitor International.
2.Cards are still king in Sweden — with nearly 2.4 billion credit and debit transactions in 2013, compared with 213 million 15 years earlier. But even plastic is facing competition, as a rising number of Swedes use apps for everyday commerce.
3.At more than half of the branches of the country’s biggest banks, including SEB, Swedbank, Nordea Bank and others, no cash is kept on hand, nor are cash deposits accepted. They say they are saving a significant amount on security by removing the incentive for bank robberies.
DOUBLE DELIGHT FOR CHIKKARANGAPPA
1.It was double delight for S. Chikkarangappa, who capped a memorable 2015 with victory at the season-ending McLeod Russel Tour golf championship, and also sealed his maiden Rolex Player-of-the-Year title for the PGTI Order of Merit here on Sunday.
2.Chikkarangappa’s brilliant victory took his season’s earnings to Rs.48,87,440 and he climbed from second spot to top the Order of Merit and take home the Player-of-the-Year title. At 22 years and three months, he is the youngest winner of the ranking title.
3.In his seven starts in the season, he posted three wins, a runner-up and three other top 10 finishes.
