BLACK MONEY TOTALING RS 3,770 CR. DECLARED
The Modi government’s declaration window under the new Black Money Act, which ended on Wednesday, saw all of 638 declarations worth Rs.3,770 crore, according to an official release. After the NDA government came to power, Mr. Modi had said that all major events needed to be shifted out of Delhi so that other States get equal opportunity to host big events. Following this advice, the Intelligence Bureau (IB), which conducts the DGP conference, moved the venue from Delhi to Guwahati last year. This time, on the Prime Minister’s suggestion, it has been decided to hold the conference in the Rann of Kutch.
